Scott Reeder is a multidisciplinary artist who uses deadpan humor and cultural critique to expose the absurdity of contemporary life. Reeder has presented solo exhibitions at the MCA Chicago; John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, WI; Canada Gallery, NY; Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, NY. His feature-length film Moon Dust screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Reeder’s 2003 solo exhibition at UIC Gallery 400, Moon Dust, transformed the gallery into a locus of active cultural production, creating a dance club set and green screen shooting area for the film of the same name. Reeder received a MFA from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1998.
