UIC Gallery 400 40th anniversary

Antonia Contro's art ranges from drawing, painting, multimedia installations, and concept-based collaborations that engage a variety of artists and practitioners. Exhibitions include the American Philosophical Society Museum; Chicago Cultural Center; Museum of Contemporary Photography; Newberry Library; and others. Collections include the Art Institute of Chicago, Hammer Museum, Harvard Art Museums, Menil Collection, Museum of Contemporary Art, and other private and institutional collections.

Contro received a MFA in the late 1980s from the University of Illinois Chicago.
