Notes
This was painted on the afternoon of the Queen’s death. It’s about the damage the institution & monarchy does to society on many fronts, such as climate, including as a result of colonialism & capitalism - and how for us to survive, it must go. Now is our moment to get rid of it.
Will Belshah is an artist and poet who lives and works in Manchester. Predominantly working with paint, they explore protest, queerness, neurodivergence, gender, sexuality, class, futurism, childhood and race.
