London-born photographer and director Harley Weir is known for creating intimate images and films in both her personal work and also her acclaimed editorial and commercial work. Her images are often carefully composed with a highly attuned sense of colour, and composition. 

Having shot campaigns for many luxury brands, consistently compelling editorials and a series of widely acclaimed personal projects she has become a leading force in the photography and film industry. 

Weir’s work oscillates between brazen glimpses of butt-cheek and an ongoing obsession with youth, subsuming the photographer’s many influences into washed-out, tender fashion images. Whether shooting a red-headed family in high fashion threads – as she did in AnOther Magazine’s AW14 issue – or turning war reportage on its head in Israel and Jordan, Weir’s images exude an enigmatic magnetism to continuously pull you in.
