My work considers our domestic vs primitive identities through our relationship with the natural world, the internet, and each other. In paintings such as this I 'collage' found images to explore new meanings under this lens. Gemstones feature frequently as a symbol of human interaction with nature.

Thaïs is based in Plymouth, UK. She has an interest in how we understand and connect with natural and artificial worlds through painting, making, and gathering. She has exhibited internationally such as Beep Painting Prize, Wales; Asia Culture Centre, Korea; and The Polish Institute, Budapest.
