Notes

Tattoo artist and illustrator Gabriel Young, depicts a figure reclining amongst the long evening shadows of palm leaves and the warm glow of a sunset.

“I’ve always loved drawing people, giving each figure a character and a story. Representation is incredibly important so I try to include as much diversity as I can in the subject matter as I want anyone and everyone to be able to feel like they can relate to what I make.”

Working in gouache, Gabriel makes work that possesses a peaceful, dream-like quality because he "wants them to help provide solace in a world that is often cold and grey."
