Notes
Daniel Preece uses the architectural structure of the city as a starting point to explore formal issues of geometry and colour.
Daniel's painterly style has evolved from the pictorial landscape tradition, working directly from observation, to recording the city from high and oblique vantage points. This latter technique allows the artist's work to flit between abstraction and figuration.
"My intention is to encourage the viewer to consider the city differently and I hope lead them to reassess their daily surroundings with a different eye."
