Notes

Jack Penny applies a 'draw first - think later' approach to his work, that builds on his intuitive understanding of colour and composition.

The result is work that appeals to our senses that is bristling with colour combinations and an irresistible immediacy.

The Chichester-born artist is influenced by 1980's New York Neo Expressionists, particularly Willem de Kooning and takes contemporary inspiration from the vitality of musician Nick Cave.

Jack Penny lives and works in his tree-house-like studio in Bosham, West Sussex.
