Young Russian Artists: The Rite of Spring (61/65)

Notes

"This work is a part of my “Colour of Harmony” project. I thought of routine not as something bad and depressing, but as a way to distract myself, to find an island of calmness in this disturbing and anxious world. So I created monochrome compositions with some things that we use every day.

Most of my works are a kind of reflection, an attempt to find answers to questions that bother me". - Margarita Umnova, 2020.

Margarita Umnova is a student at Moscow's HSE Art and Design School.
