Notes
Using marquetry techniques, a painstaking process of laying wood veneers down into a design, Olly Fathers often creates geometric, shape-based work which celebrate the beauty in grain and colour of the various wood veneers used. In this piece Olly has taken the canvas of the stretcher and has beautifully veneered the wooden stretcher itself.
Olly Fathers is an artist based in Brixton, London, where he has been for over ten years.
