Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
My work is based on the relationship between memory, territory and nature.
These concepts are situated and put into dialogue on different scales on the basis of autobiographical situations.
The research processes, the methodology and the materiality are subordinated to the context, on the one hand, linked to the everyday and the encounter, and on the other hand, my geographical positioning (hybrid-industrial territories), so that the work in the territory, the wandering, the involvement with the landscape and the human testimony are fundamental.
In wandering through each new territory, I gather and register exogenous elements that alter the natural order of the landscape. These elements are always linked to a break, a fragment of memory or loss, reflecting the conflictive relationship we have established with the environment.
Please do not bid on artwork in our Art on a Postcard auctions if you intend on selling the artwork after you have purchased it. This auction has been organised for charity and all artworks have been generously donated by the artists to raise money for the Hepatitis C Trust. When the work produced for the charity is sold on the secondary market it damages our relationship with the artist and prevents us from fundraising.
