Art Auction - Arms Around the Child, Timed

David is an emerging painter from North London. Largely inspired by the

human condition and form, his work explores the body in fleshy figurative

studies.
 

Recently, his practice involved the application of oils on glass as an

investigation into a personal experience with his father’s dementia. Before

applying paint to glass, David will refine his technique on canvas.

This self-portrait plays a pivotal role in his practice, as it evolves towards a

more sculptural application of paint. His heavy and loosely mixed palate of

primary colours allows for a rich depth of texture to depict skin tones.
