Art for Ukraine

‘James Dearlove’s figurative paintings are set in twilight, the liminal space between and before the dawn when clarity and sharpness disappear… where dreams are still with us of strange places and of fragmented bodily experiences and intimacies’- Rosalind Davis, artist, curator and writer.

James Dearlove lives and works in his studio on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. He is a graduate (MFA) of The Slade School of Art and is currently in his third year on the mentorship programme at Turps Banana Art School. In November 2021, Dearlove was awarded the prestigious Ingram Prize along with the Founders Choice Award for his painting Figures on a Bed, which has now been acquired by the Ingram Permanent Collection. In April 2022, James’ work will feature in the 26th issue of Art Maze Magazine.

Man Napping with Pansy was recently shown at Dearlove's first solo show “The Garden Room” at Nine Elms Gallery in London.
