‘“The Meadow” is a part of the “Ursynian Tales” series which are illustrations for a book based on modern fairy tales written by artists.’ – Anna Grzymała
Anna Grzymała’s paintings explore the effectiveness of hyperrealism for portraying dream-like experiences. She is attracted to the absurd, the beautiful, the ugly and the incomprehensible that through art, can become poetic.
Grzymała graduated from the Painting Faculty at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is part of the Dwie Osoby (two person) Art Collective and was the laureate of the Hestia Artistic Journey prize. She was also a finalist for the NOWY OBRAZ/NOWE SPOJRZENIE competition with three distinctions from Bęc Zmiana, Royal Talens Company and Contemporary Lynx Magazine. Grzymała has exhibited widely in Poland including the Museum of Modern Art and Przyszla Niedoszla Gallery.
