Pikesley was born in 1951 and studied at Harrow School of Art and Canterbury School of Art. Living in Dorset with his family, he draws inspiration for his paintings from the invigorating landscape around him. Over the course of his career Pikesley has travelled widely and his works of Italy and France depict many well-known views.
