Art Makes Lives Better

Born in Porto in 1971, Rui Moreira studied in Chicago and AR.CO (Centra de Arte e Comunicação) in Lisbon where he currently teaches drawing. His own drawings explore an interest in minutely detailed monochromatic patterns and empty space that is sustained in his work within other media, including this image. What differentiates this work from his others is the medium itself; here photography allows Moreira to capture a space much closer to reality which the viewer can imagine him or herself occupying.
