27 FEBRUARY 2024 - 12 MARCH 2024Notes
About
Sophie Harding (she/her) graduated from Central St Martins in 1992 and proceeded to work full time as a freelance illustrator, painter and textile designer creating bestselling images for cards, gift wraps, homewares, magazines and book illustrations for the UK and worldwide. Clients have included Marks and Spencer, Dunoon, The Art Group, Ladybird Books and recently the Cornish Bakery.
Sophie’s paintings have been shown and sold in galleries since 1988 when she was studying at art school. Her work is focused on simplicity, joy and harmony. She captures the simple joys in life by painting the essence of a scene or group of objects with a strong emphasis on colour and the power it has to evoke positive emotions.
