Derived from intense experience of the world; much of my focus is drawn to the overlooked.  I form my work alongside the wild, questioning the way we regard the natural world. 

My work is drawing-based, primarily in charcoal and pastel (effectively dust), sometimes fluid mediums of watercolour and ink, spilling over into monotype and experimental printmaking. It is a physical way of working. 

Complexity, energy & profusion summon my attention—particularly in the realm of plants. Spontaneity and vitality are carried in the drawings. This stems from years of active observation and close listening, attuned to the seasons and the senses.
