Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork

I really enjoyed the challenge of the small size. I wanted to get to the different aspects of my work through the four postcards. My work evolves through a process of creating and destroying, some moments are delicate and others rougher and bolder to achieve simultanetity of rough and smooth, beautiful and ugly. I like to find faces in random marks and am always looking for fun ways to do that so I suprise myself so I actually used part of the envelope the cards were sent in because I'd used it to clean the pastels on and I liked the marks on the brown card so I decided to cut up the envelope and see what happened. I also mined an old sketch book for some interesting collage elements to include.

PLEASE DO NOT BID ON ARTWORK IN OUR ART ON A POSTCARD AUCTIONS IF YOU INTEND ON SELLING THE ARTWORK AFTER YOU HAVE PURCHASED IT. THIS AUCTION HAS BEEN ORGANISED FOR CHARITY AND ALL ARTWORKS HAVE BEEN GENEROUSLY DONATED BY THE ARTISTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE HEPATITIS C TRUST. WHEN THE WORK PRODUCED FOR THE CHARITY IS SOLD ON THE SECONDARY MARKET IT DAMAGES OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ARTIST AND PREVENTS US FROM FUNDRAISING.
