Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
Driven by impulse and material processes, these works incorporate the act of painting and drawing as a means of searching for familiarity in the unknown. Work is led not by the destination, but to embrace the unknowability and accidental within its own creation. By adding, obliterating and reassembling, imagery emerges from an accumulation of layered and erased marks. With tactile surfaces, ambiguous motifs move sinuously between semi-abstraction and figurative objects; covering and uncovering until there is a moment of recognition.
You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any works. In doing so, you endanger our relationships with artists, and directly jeopardise the charitable work we do.
