Anke Roder is a Dutch painter, specialized in abstract coastal landscapes, atmosphere and interplay of light between sky and water. She works with an ancient painting technique encaustic (beeswax and pigments) combined with oil paint on wood. In UK she is represented by @Gallery Edinburgh. Her work is held in collections worldwide

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
The sky with its ever changing cloud formations is the big space that everyone can relate to. Starting asa child, watching and discovering new shapes in endless blue hues. I left these clouds open, shining above vintage postcard oil overpainting, mounted on watercolor. This abstract space tells a story of hope and freedom
