One of Ireland's ground-breaking artists, she continues to initiate major collaborative art projects and was made Honorary Member of Royal Society of Architects for developmental work in the built environment. History and narrative continue to pulse through her work, as in 2004's Thaw, a contemporary art project with environmental concerns that aimed to bring an iceberg to Belfast.
In 2018 she was recognised for her contribution to visual arts in Ireland and elected to Aosdana, Ireland's elected ‘people of the arts’. In 2012 she was awarded gold by the Chinese as a Cultural Olympian. Her work is represented in numerous museums and private collections across the world.
