'My practice is strongly influenced by my immediate surroundings. I use commonplace imagery to organise the pictorial space, using forms that occupy and give perspective within the substrate. Exploring what’s left behind, the immediacy of perception and retaining that idea or image through the process of layering, repetition, cut-outs and washout. The detail and form, architecture, intricate lines, structures and vast space are continually explored.

My passion lies in not only the physical environment of place but also the subjective experience of being in that place. This is reflected and resonates in the process of making, leading me to chance compositions, accidental, intuitive, always finding in amongst the making.'
