Artwork Description
This piece is from a series of works that play with optical illusions (anaglyphs), where a 2d image becomes three-dimensional as a result of playing with colors and points of view. This work materializes my intention to bring back to life old family memories.
Bio
I'm Elián Stolarsky (1990), a Uruguayan visual artist based in Madrid, deeply engaged in exploring the intersections of memory, migration, and history through my art. Currently, I'm pursuing a doctorate at the Complutense University of Madrid, where my research focuses on the silent impacts of violence on third generations and the role of art in processing and enduring these effects. My work, a blend of traditional and digital techniques, often reflects on the destructive legacy of war and its influence on societal and personal narratives.
