Notes

Every Morning is a painting by the 2018 Fine Art graduate Tyler Watson.

Tyler Watson is a British born New Pop painter: "I describe my style in art as New Pop, a more conceptual sub category within Pop Art. The works are strongly based around the themes of British culture, aiming to portray the contemporary idea of British charm through recognisable imagery and nostalgia."

Inspired by Philip Guston, a painter from the New York School (which included Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning), Tyler began reflecting more deeply on the details of his everyday surroundings. The mundane became a symbol of daily ritual. A symbol he then was drawn to incorporate in his artwork as a glimpse of his everyday life as an artist.

He is currently working in an artist's residency at the Auc Art Lab.
