Notes
This self-portrait consists of 40 coloured x-rays of the artist's skull.
Ernesto Romano is an Italian artist living and working in London. His work explores the common truths hidden behind human behaviour. By looking at what lies behind the facade of our appearances, emotions and status, the artist reflects on the shared vulnerabilities of human nature - "when stripped of our adornments, we all look the same underneath".
This work was selected by Art Below for its installation at Holborn Underground Station - an initiative that uses billboard spaces to display artworks that enrich the everyday life of the traveling public.
