Beryl Odette is an artist born and based in Los Angeles, descended from survivors of slavery and The Holocaust. Her work—luringly aesthetic, and mesmerizingly beautiful— ranges from classically formal oil on canvas to site-specific installations and video work. Exploring multiple mediums and celebrating abnormal materials, she presents an intangible sense of discomfort within the beauty of the work.
