London based artist and printmaker Matt Valentine was commissioned to create these promotional posters for the city's punk rock scene.

The artist looks back to the pre-digital era in his creative method. Using traditional woodcut printing methods he patiently and methodically carves out the images to create limited edition fine art prints. 

"When I started producing posters for touring bands I always got a kick out of people not knowing whether the posters were woodcuts, people assume they are screenprints or have an element of digital production."
