Vanessa was first introduced to drawing from film at the Royal Drawing School, and extended this practice to drawing from theatre and live performances in long unfurling concertina sketchbooks. 

Currently, she is working on an extended graphic narrative work of large scale pastel drawings and Oulipo inspired poems. It is her ambition to collate these as a graphic novel inspired by love stories during our Covid times. Exploring what it is to love in captivity, and how to foster intimacy in isolation; together and apart.
