"My practice is based in painting and drawing. I create landscapes and interiors which explore the tension between memory and reality. Inspired by my upbringing within a religious cult, through my imagery I try to conjure the ‘heaven on earth’ I was indoctrinated, as a child, to believe I would one day witness. I create my work spontaneously and from memory, utilising a vivid colour palette and stylised imagery." - Lily Senner, 2020
