Life on Venus II | The Human, Timed Auction

Jac Doe is a Brighton-based artist working across painting, drawing and mixed media. Self-taught and with a deep appreciation for the human form, Doe is preoccupied with conveying the soul through portraits of famous figures, personal relations and obscure landscapes. From Daniel Johnston to D. Boon, the artist pulls from a culture of punk, lo-fi and familial rebellion. For this piece, Doe has used found materials to construct an image of life on Mars bound to the same countercultural forms that punctuate her practice.
