Mesmerism: North Coast Asylum curates

Clara is a still life and figurative oil painter based in Falmouth. Clara’s paintings are rich with colour and are influenced by the likes of Matisse and Rose Hilton’s appreciation for composition. Shape and form are particularly significant within her figurative work which explores the movement within the body. Each painting holds a different feeling with the variety of depth of tones. Working on larger canvas’ creates a greater sense of freedom within the brushstrokes and mark making.
