NCA for Refuge

Rose Raine studied Fine Art  at The University of Edinburgh. Since graduating in 2021, her works have been collected nationally and internationally and have been exhibited across the country. Rose’s work was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2022 and the Royal Scottish Academy Annual Exhibition 2023. 
Rose lives and works in London.   

'The idea of Immersion underpins my practice. Drawing inspiration from British Romanticism, my work explores light and movement, expressing the atmospherics and motion of the sea and sky. Creating work is a physical process. Oscillating between chance, control, and unpredictability, it involves dynamic gestures and sweeping movements to translate the energy of the landscape’s ever-changing state.'
