Claire Cansick paints poignant memories, dreams and weather events using colour to translate her emotive response. Willingdon Island was painted after a trip to India when a cruise ship sailed by at night.

Recent exhibitions: RA Summer Exhibition 2022, The Architecture of Trees - Gallery East Woodbridge, British Painting 3 - Bermondsey Project Space, Avant Gardeners - Houghton Hall Norfolk, Trees and the Sacred - The Hostry, Norwich. Her latest solo exhibition was in 2020 titled Recollection in Colour at Chappe Galleries, Essex.
Claire has been a finalist in Jacksons Painting Prize and Sir John Hurt Prize.
Claire has just completed a year long climate project titled ‘You And I Are Earth’ which includes 48 paintings made in 2022 responding to reports of extreme weather events and which will be exhibited in 2023.
Works by Claire Cansick are included in numerous private collections and she has a growing international collector base.
Claire is an active member of The Arborealists who are an artist collective concerned with trees and their conservation.
