Description
Paying homage to Mao’s cultural revolution posters from the 1960s, this piece explores the relationship China has with modern society as a communist state.
China has been known for it’s repressive regime, despite a real fear that it has become more westernised than ever.
With the recent new term of Xi Jinping as head of state, will Chinese people ever feel true democracy? Whilst we think of China as being the world’s most controlled state, do we ever stop and consider the level at which we’re now being policed?
