A Studio Sale of 28 paintings and original prints direct from studio of contemporary artist, Mila Morton.
Mila Morton
Mila Morton is an artist based in London whose paintings have been exhibited in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Russia and the USA.
Her works are about patterns in the world around us, finding abstractions in the complex and complexity in the apparently simple, and about repetition/universality and singularity/now.
She grew up on the edge of the Eurasian steppe, where her first views of the world were of the dome of the sky, the curving yet level horizon and the flatness of the desert. At art school in Moscow and living in Asia, she has studied history of art from icons to Contemporary Art, the Asian landscape tradition, and her work is another manifestation of their truth: that representation is always multi-layered, incomplete but in its own way having meaning.
Morton's abstract pieces convey beauty, delicacy, and the power of nature. She most often creates using inks, acrylic and oils on paper or canvas.
The Studio Sale is an opportunity to collect her works from 2014 - 2021. The proceeds would her help her raise money to cover the costs of a much needed supply trip to Japan for Washi paper and China for Xuan paper and calligraphy brushes - these can not be bought anywhere else and must be seen and tried before buying.
The sale including paintings, original prints and also a rare opportunity to buy her last few remaining screen prints from the beginning of 2014 (signed with her previous art name Liudmila Eremeeva).
