“After catching a bad bug on a trip to see a friend in southeast asia, I couldn't eat anything interesting for quite a while - a good few years. This painting I meant to tell people about it, but also to make them laugh (and make them hungry). I've had a lot of great debates about what's on here with studio visitors.” - Rachel McDonnell, 2021
