Constructed of only three primary colours, Matthew Misfud's Upwards exudes dynamism through the mere direction of the paint. 

Matthew explains that the "positive motion" of Upwards is a result of the three primary colours interacting linearly and in opposite directions reinforcing the the simplicity of geometric shapes and angles as the primary subject of the painting. 

Maltese born Matthew first studied Chemistry and Biology before completing his Masters in Creative Advertising at the University of Edinburgh. After stints in advertising and the Royal National Theatre, Matthew sought creative exploration through his own works of art.
