Artist, illustrator and tattooist Gabriel Young captures an easy summer's afternoon spent reading peacefully amongst swaying leaves. 

Based in South London, Gabriel is informed by the people around him. Working in gouache and with a distinct illustrative style, Gabriel "wants to help provide solace in a world that is often cold and grey." By stripping away the paraphernalia of life and creating idealised surrounding for his figures, Gabriel's work feels daydream like and faraway. 

Accolades

Gabriel Young has a degree in Illustration from Falmouth University. Gabriel has been commissioned to make editorial artwork for magazines including Like the Wind, Marbles Magazine and Shelf Heroes. His practice was recently the subject of a spotlight article in Intern. Gabriel is a practising tattoo artist at a studio in South London.

Gabriel is also exhibiting Terracotta Palms in The Crossover.
