The Jaka Project
15 SEPTEMBER 2023 - 02 OCTOBER 2023Notes
"The unexpected guest" is a series of works created in the early Corona era. It was a time of fear, ignorance and confusion. The world had changed overnight and everything we knew was turned upside down.
I took these elements and translated into a work showing mysterious encounters between two people. These encounters lay could be in the past or in the future, that the work doesn’t tell. Everything that had happened or would happen between these two people has been told by the different objects on the table with a yellow tablecloth. Every work has a particular set of objects and tells a different story. The changing objects refer to past times as well as future times which are entangled with each other.

Made with scavenged materials, his collages, paintings and installations show an absurd reality filled with twisted heads, pinocchion giants or giant hands and fingers.
