Notes

Julia Hall created a painting every week for a year that reflected the news stories of the time. This painting was Week 51 - a week when rogue drone sightings led to the closer of London's Gatwick Airport.

The series was titled If Not Now and documented the weekly news stories of 218. All works were exhibited in a solo exhibited in London at 10 Hanover Street Gallery at the end of the year.

The series was created in response to the frenetic media onslaught of contemporary society. Julia saw the slow, rigorous layering of oil paint as a moment to give longevity to an otherwise fleeting event.
