Notes

Sam Hennig, the son of a family of illustrators, designers and artists, has spent his entire life addicted to creativity.

Sam combines his painterly inspiration from Jean-Michel Basquiat and Salou Raouda Choucair, with his own reflections on the how contemporary society operates. Calling for an end to the  monotony and restrictive systems of daily life, Sam advocates for a return to natural living, "A return to the freedom, spontaneity and expressionist way of nature".

It is with these beliefs at his core, that the artist approaches the canvas with his paints and pastels. With wide energetic brushwork, Sam strives to portray the energy of what he describes as "our lifeblood". The result is an abstract-expressionist image that breaks free from the repressions of today’s society and culture.
