Notes
The bright autumn leaves of a Cornus plant hang ripe and lemon-like, contrasting the muted greens and greys in the surrounding foliage.
Wine-coloured stems cut through the roughly blended surroundings, emphasising the constant shifts of nature.
Diana Palmer, a South London artist, playfully explores spatial relations in natural environments. The feeling of immersion in a landscape is translated into all-encompassing compositions to capture moments of specific light and colour, and to share everyday sights often overlooked. From concrete jungles to tropical jungles, plants are often the focus – as living beings, performing figures, and wondrous curiosities.
