"I make no preliminary sketches, nor do I work from photographs. I merely lay down the colours of my choice that day & allow the flow and direction of paint to intuitively lead me to that 'Sense of Place' that I am subconsciously driven to... I know the work is finished, when I feel I have achieved a sense of unity, balance and cohesion”
