Notes

Dramatic clouds burst into the sky in this Northumberland inspired landscape.

Dorset born Paul West is a landscape painter traditionally inspired by the rugged countryside of his native county. However, a visit to Northumberland in the early 90s came like "a thunder bolt of inspiration" to the artist resulting in annual pilgrimages to the region to capture the furrowed horizons, imposing skies, mysterious woodlands and solitary trees that inspire his creativity.
