"I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer, and really enjoy trying to create unusual, and striking, travel images.  The majority of my photography is of wildlife, taken on safari holidays in Africa, and so the challenge on this holiday in Myanmar was a different experience for me.  My mission was to try to capture a few images that portray some of the culture of this beautiful country.”

The fishermen of Inle Lake, Myanmar, stand on one leg while they paddle with the other.  This leaves their hands free, to fish with large conical nets. The people of the lake are known as Intha.
