ARTIST STATEMENT

My artwork delves into the concept of sustainable community, with a particular emphasis on the vibrant growth and health of individuals within the community. The use of green color symbolizes these aspects, reflecting the objectives of the farm 'Harlem Grown' and its commitment to fostering community growth and vibrancy.

The faces depicted on the side of the shoe represent collective responsibility and unity, highlighting the idea of individuals coming together to achieve common goals and make positive changes within their community.

Incorporating flowers into the piece serves as a symbol of growth and beauty that emerges when individuals unite for a shared cause. The artwork aims to convey the transformative power of communal collaboration and the beauty
