An expressionist painter who paints contemporary scenes from everyday life, Sean Hayden was born and is based in Cornwall. His inspiration lies in the scenes and experiences of everyday life. Buildings and locations have a profound and personal influence. Capturing a scene with its hustle, bustle, colour, vibrancy and excitement is of particular importance, eg in his paintings of Cornish scenes such as this one, although his output is not restricted to Cornwall.
While studying for a BA Hons degree in Fine Art at Plymouth University he was awarded the Ben Hartley Prize for outstanding fine art. He has exhibited at the South West Academy of Fine Art Summer Open Exhibition and the St Ives Society Open Figurative Exhibition and has work in galleries in Falmouth and Truro and in private collections in Cornwall, Brighton, Glasgow and London.
