Art for Ukraine
01 APRIL 2022 - 25 APRIL 2022Notes
Nicholas Marchner’s paintings evoke snapshots of his experiences that become emblematic of his own layered emotions. The seemingly hazy and diluted wash that masks the paintings’ surface evokes a sense of discovery and transformative closeness. Marschner draws inspiration from the Belgian artists Michael Borremans and Luc Tuymans whose work similarly reflects the desire to reimagine images with mysterious outcomes.
Nicholas Marschner (b. 1995) is a painter who lives and works in London. He holds a BA from The School of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University. Marschner has exhibited widely in London with Cell Studios, Filet Gallery and House on Mars Gallery.
