Notes

‘“Feldmark” is named after the very first street I used to live in as a child. My inspiration came from my first childhood memories within the very peaceful countryside environment. I grew up there climbing trees, running in the fields and playing with the animals every day.’ - Nina Lamiel Bruchhaus

Nina Lamiel Brucchaus’s paintings take as their starting point the theme of the transgenerational transmission of trauma and are rooted in her interest in the fields of history, sociology and gender studies. Bruchhaus is captivated by the inherent materiality of painting.

Nina Lamiel Bruchhaus is a figurative painter based in Berlin. She holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Fine Arts, Berlin, Germany. Nina also studied Japanese Painting at Musashino Art School, Tokyo, Japan (2019). Her work has been exhibited widely with recent shows in Berlin, New York City and Tokyo.
